Chinese Tonite Restaurant in Chelsea

Food is delicious prices are fair and you get a generous portions. I have had several dishes and all are very good. Best Chinese food around!

Unfortunately this is one of the few places I could say that we would have been happier grabbing pizza for the night. The boyfriend order general tso's mild dark and I ordered emperors hot white. I was only able to eat 3-4 before I stopped. The chicken was near gel like in consistancy and was the most bland thing I had ever tasted. The boyfriend couldn't even finish a piece of mine. I tried his to see if I just had a bad pick. I would have guessed it was pork nuggets in sweet baby Ray's sauce. Not bad, but not Chinese. Still, he was able to finish half of it, which is another issue. He eats very small amounts at a time, normally only clearing a quarter of a serving at a time whenever we get Chinese. The servings here are very small compared to most and cost more than most. Only good quality about this place is the head server who works harder than any I've seen. The other 2 just sit and do little to nothing.

Chinese Tonight Restaurant is one of the best Chinese restaurants that I've been to. Not only is the food good but the service is excellent too.

The food was delicious, and the staff was great. I hope to be in Chelsea again for lunch here

Friendly and quick staff, food was up quick, huge portions for take home left overs. Awesome dinner.

Had an appointment in Chelsea which finished around lunch time. Started looking for a place to have a lunch. Saw the sign and Chinese sounded good. Ordered Sweet and Sour Shrimp w/ white rice and egg drop soup and an egg roll. WOW! Nice surprise. These people know what they are dong. All items cooked perfectly. Not overly grease or seasoned. Most surprising to me was the egg roll. Normally, I seldom finish my egg roll. Today, I could have eaten a dozen. Everything very fresh. I have to drive 25 miles, but I will return.

We love the food so much to choose from nice size servings at a good price we were there for their lunch specials.

Pretty typical Chinese takout. Quality was comparable to most other similar places I have eaten. Pickup was very quick only 10 minutes. Forgot to include utensils though.

Food was pretty decent although the veggie dish had a ton of water chestnuts and not so many veggies.

Great food, good portions, excellent service

I have eaten here before, and it was standard American Chinese food. Today however, not so much. I ordered the crab wontons, and lemon chicken. I managed precisely one bite of each. The crab wontons looked and tasted like they were filled with queso dip, with onions mixed in. The chicken was gluey and blah. It was worse than week old, microwaved leftovers. It was seriously the saddest meal I have ever been served.

Great Customer service. Excellent food. Been driving to Chinese Tonite for the last 5 yrs. or so. Staff are prompt, efficient, yet do not hover. I drive an hour or so, they never disappoint !

By far, my favorite restaurant, Whats really sad is that I’m not from Michigan. Or else I’d go there every week, amazing lady. She’s low staffed and works like hell to provide quality service to all of her customers. The food is absolutely fantastic. Hands down, what a great experience!!

The very best! We ordered, for take out, pan fried golden noodles (combination), egg rolls and egg drop soup. Still hot when we got home and very delicious. I must admit, I don't care for the noodles, but do love the rice.

I travel all over the place and this place has had my favorite dish since I was a kid. Even after ownership change, the quality only went up. I would recommmend to anyone and everytime I'm in the region I make it a point to get the Almond Boneless Chicken.

The waitresses were not good. We were the only people there. My food came way before my daughter's, we didn't even eat together. I was done when her food came. She wanted to just take her meal to go as I was finished with mine. Food was good, experience sucked.

Great food! Everything we've ordered so far has been fantastic. 💕 This is our new go-to for satisfying our Chinese cravings. They don't skimp on the serving size or the meat. Even the shrimp dishes had plenty of shrimp! We expected tiny baby shrimp in the fried rice but were pleasantly surprised to discover the dish was filled with nearly a dozen jumbo shrimp.

Lemon chicken was awful chicken was dry lemon sauce was way way to sour

Went here for lunch and showed up 10 minutes before open. We we're kindly served our hot tea and 3 waters. I ordered the happy family and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken. Lived in Ann arbor the last 3 years and this by far the best Chinese I've had in a long time. We will definitely be back.

I have been ordering food from them because it's pretty near by and convenient... Every time I would order there is never any chicken in my meal and always so much vegetables. I have paid for extra chicken on 2 occasion and was the same mess. This is really bad Customer service and though I have spoken about it still no change in the matter. This is cheating and robbery and I will not buy from them again.

Chelsea has the Chinese restaurant with this one. The food is fresh, hot, ample and pretty good. A take out order only takes 10 minutes or so. The portionsfor the price is surprisingly large. There is a great priced lunch menu that ends at 3pm or so then the dinner prices take over. The lunch portions are also huge. The help is very friendly and accommodating. I found the restaurant clean and welcoming. It can seat probably 100. The menu was extensive with picturesfor those unsure or wanting to try something new. Liked most everything I ordered. Almond Boneless Chicken, Beef Pepper Steak, Sweet & SourChicken, extra Egg Rolls and Gravy’s. Fried rice and an egg roll are includedwith the lunch specials, WOW. CHINESE TONITE is in the strip on South Main St.

“Chinese Tonight” Has bad food that all taste the same but they have even worse customer service. I ordered $56.00 worth of food tonight. It was after a 14 hr work day. I asked for brown rice instead of white rice. I was charged $1.95 X 2 and given “fried rice” I called to ask about this and was told I “should be happy, most people are”. I said “We have no rice to eat with our meals”. I was told I could bring the rice back and get white and they would reimburse me. I said I was not able to drive back tonight so they said well then there was nothing they could do. I said I would like a replacement meal on another day or a refund. I was then hung up on. I called back thinking I was disconnected. I asked to speak again to the manager an I was hung up on again by the hostess. I’d be very ashamed of my staff and also I will never be back. Too bad, I appreciate good Chinese food, but I appreciate and value good Customer service more. Chelsea should be ashamed

My favorite is not on the menu but they always make it for me. Best hot/sour soup around. Our server Rachel was knowledgeable and highly attentive.

Been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years. We've always had a great meal. No disappointments with the food or service. We especially like the Almond chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and General TSO's chicken. Also love the crab cheese so much we order extra.

This restaurant failed a surprise health inspection be careful what you eat!! You might get sick!!!

Great food! I've enjoyed this place for almost 40 years! The food is always the same.

Food is pretty good here, but the girl who works the front desk was absolutely rude. All I know is I ordered $64 worth of Chinese food and she only gave me two packets of soy sauce. When I asked for more she got an attitude- which I didn’t ask for. Let your high school female employee know that she won’t get far in life if she catches an attitude with customers for asking for something her job entails. If she doesn’t like her job, she can quit, there are other places in Chelsea that pay minimum wage that don’t require talking to people.

Great food and price service was great

I've gone many times and it has never disappointed! I have tried many egg drop soups, none have been as good as theirs. I definitely suggest trying it. Their waitresses are always kind and the food always comes out hot and delicious! It's definitely the best Chinese I've ever had!
